Will Mona and Lisa ever get the complete family they’ve always dreamed of?

Twin surprises on the last week of “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso”

Mona and Lisa (Jodi Sta. Maria) are on a mission to complete their family after finding out the truth about their identity on the final week of “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso.”

The twins were last seen confronting their real mother, Sandra Tan (Irma Adlawan), after finally accepting the truth. However, there are still obstacles to overcome before their family can be truly complete, like the disappearance of Juancho (Christopher De Leon), who is having a hard time accepting the truth about Lisa.

There is also the threat of revenge from the syndicate Odonata and its leader, Primera (Denise Laurel), who is angry at Martin (Richard Yap) for helping foil her evil plans. Meanwhile, Leo (Robin Padilla) is determined as ever to bring down Odonata to help his wife, Lisa.

Will Juancho ever come back and accept the truth? Will they be able to bring down Primera and Odonata? Will Mona and Lisa ever find happiness in a complete family?

The iWant TV hit is also part of the Social WIT List of most buzzed about shows in the world

Explosive revelations this week on “Ngayon at Kailanman”

Rebecca (Iza Calzado) reveals her true identity to the Corteses, while Inno (Joshua Garcia) and Eva (Julia Barretto) continue to cross paths in “Ngayon at Kailanman,” one of the most talked about shows on social media in the world according to the ‘Social Wit List’ of World Screen and The WIT, websites covering the news and trends in the media industry around the globe.

Rebecca exposed to Hernan (Christian Vasquez) and Stella (Alice Dixson) that she was in love with Rodrigo Cortes (TJ Trinidad), to the shock of the two. Meanwhile Inno and Eva will have to continue dealing with each other as Eva enters the jewelry design contest of Cortes Jewelry.

What will Stella do with Rebecca’s revelation? How will Inno react when he finds out Eva joined their company’s contest?

The show’s fast-paced storytelling, and the excellent acting of its stars are what continue to draw viewers to the show, which is also making waves online. “Ngayon at Kailanman” is the only Filipino show on the August Social Wit List, a collection of the most buzzed about movies and shows on social media around the world. It comes second after an original movie from an international video-on-demand service. It made the list because its premiere generated a lot of buzz online because of its plot twists, high production value, and the great acting of its stars.

It is also a big hit on iWant TV, the online video-on-demand platform of ABS-CBN, where the show is one of the top three most watched content of the streaming service.

Angelica, Zanjoe prove love deserves a second chance in “PlayHouse”

Mornings will get even brighter as the newest Kapamilya series “PlayHouse” brings a daily dose of kilig and happiness and proves that love deserves a second chance starting on Monday (September 10) on ABS-CBN.

“PlayHouse” will revolve around the theme that love is a choice — it is a person’s will to choose someone repeatedly, but it may also change in an instant. This is the story of Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo’s characters Patty and Marlon — two college lovers who will eventually get married. However, their dream of having a long lasting love will be tested by struggles that will eventually lead to their split.

After of a long time living separately, the two meet again as Patty files for an annulment to formally separate with Marlon. But just when they think everything is over between them, an unfortunate tragedy will change their lives forever.

Their friends Emily and Brad will get into an accident, leaving their child Robin (Justin James Quilantang) behind. As the kid’s legal guardians, Patty and Marlon will be forced to stay together under one roof to take care of Robin and make sure he gets the love he needs. This gives Marlon the opportunity to patch things up with Patty, despite her constant disapproval.

Will Robin be the key to giving Patty and Marlon a second chance?

Aside from Angelica and Zanjoe, the rising love team of teen stars Kisses Delavin and Donny Pangilinan will also bring kilig to viewers. They will play Shiela and Zeke, two enemies who will eventually fall for each other.

Meanwhile, also part of “PlayHouse” are Kean Cipriano, AC Bonifacio, Ariella Arida, Dexter Doria, Nadia Montenegro, Ingrid Dela Paz, Jomari Angeles, Malou De Guzman, Smokey Manaloto, and Maxene Magalona.

Don’t miss “PlayHouse,” which premieres on Monday (September 17) on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable ch 167). For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit www.abscbnpr.com.

KathNiel rules over ABS-CBN TVplus’ new channel

Weekends on Jeepney TV are now packed with more excitement as ABS-CBN’s ongoing grand audition show “Star Hunt” and the hit fantaserye “La Luna Sangre” air on ABS-CBN TVplus’ new channel starting this September.

Fresh from the success of “The Hows Of Us,” box office stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla reopens the world of vampires and werewolves in “La Luna Sangre,” alongside Richard Gutierrez on Saturdays.

Malia (Kathryn), a daughter of two legends, is prophesized to be the savior of the two kinds from the evil Sandrino (Richard). But when she fails to show powers as a savior, she flees and faces the world of mortals. Here, she meets Tristan (Daniel) a young man hunting for the vampire who killed his father.

Will Malia be the key to the justice Tristan yearns for? Will she return to the world she left behind and re-embrace her destiny according to the prophecy?

The third installment of the hit ‘Imortal’ trilogy, “La Luna Sangre” was one of the most watched programs in the country on weeknights and one of the most talked about on social media. It even extended viewers experience online by creating a spin off web series on iWant TV titled “Youtopia,” the Moonchasers.ph website, and the “La Luna Sangre” filter and game apps.

Meanwhile, catch up on real stories of dreams and victories with hosts Alex Gonzaga, Kim Chiu, Melai Cantiveros, and Robi Domingo in “Star Hunt,” now airing on Jeepney TV on Sundays.

Since it began airing in August, “Star Hunt” has featured interesting and heartwarming perspectives of people who fall in line during auditions, patiently waiting for their turn to show Direk Lauren Dyogi and the whole country what they’ve got.

Kapamilyas get medical care in “Bida Kapamilya” in Malolos, Bulacan

Bantay Bata 163, “Red Alert,” “SOCO” lead seminars for family members

For Kapamilyas like single mom of three Deborah Rico and peanuts vendor Estancia Miranda, the “Bida Kapamilya: One Love, One Family” in Bulacan last September 8 was a welcome day of bonding with family, a chance to ease the burden of paying for their family’s medical needs, and an opportunity to learn how to augment their incomes.

Deborah and Estancia were two of more than eight hundred patients, who, with their families, were treated to free medical checkups, free medicines for their prescriptions, eye checkups, haircuts, beauty services, and various seminars during the “Bida Kapamilya: One Love, One Family” event which featured a full day of public service and entertainment for residents of Malolos, Bulacan.

Deborah, a newly single mom to three children ages 1 to 4, relies on free medical missions to ease the burden of spending for these needs, especially since she can’t work yet and relies on help from her parents. If she’s lucky, the medical checkups and medicines she and her children availed of can be enough to last them a year.

“My husband left us while I was pregnant with my youngest, and has never done his share of supporting them,” said Deborah. “I have not been able to work since then and free medical services like the ones available today are a huge help for me and my children.”

Meanwhile, Estancia, an enterprising peanuts vendor whose husband works as a tricycle driver, was grateful for the free services because it means she can save a little more money for her son’s education. As an entrepreneur, she also enjoyed attending the livelihood seminars held during the event in partnership with TESDA.

“I’m a personal witness that being creative about how you earn can go a long way,” said Estancia. “These seminars are so useful for us because learning how to do things like hairstyling and massage, even just the basics, mean we can use it to earn a living even at home, while taking care of our children.”

Aside from the free medical services and medicines, attendees also participated in various seminars. Barangay officials and members of the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council joined disaster preparedness seminars by Jeff Canoy and the “Red Alert” team, while local police and barangay tanods participated in crime prevention talks led by Gus Abelgas and the “SOCO” team. Parents learned more about child protection and child-rearing from Bantay Bata 163, while enterprising moms participated in livelihood seminars on hairstyling, hilot, and soap making by TESDA.

The TNT Singers serenaded the attendees, while DZMM’s Classroom on Wheels brought activities for children led by the kids of “Team YeY.” Meanwhile, Star Cinema held a free film screening for inmates at the Malolos City Jail as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

Be a reality show contestant, an action star, and more in ABS-CBN’s studio city

The new ABS-CBN Studio Experience

Have you ever dreamt of being a “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate, wondered who among “The Voice” judges would turn if you audition, or wanted to try the Fast Talk questions in “Tonight With Boy Abunda”? You now have a chance to experience what it is like to be in your favorite TV program as the country’s leading media and entertainment network opens the ABS-CBN Studio Experience, or Studio XP, at the Ayala Malls TriNoma in Quezon City this Sunday (September 16).

According to ABS-CBN Themed Experiences Inc. head Cookie Bartolome, the new Studio XP is divided into three parts—Reality, Fantasy, and Retail Studios—with 15 attractions and full scale set reconstructions crafted to present a jam-packed ABS-CBN experience in a one-stop site.

“We took inspiration from Kapamilyas who are curious and eager to feel what it’s like to be inside the network’s studios. The vision was really to bring ABS-CBN closer to the people,” Cookie shared.

Inside the Reality Studio, visitors get to be a participant in various Kapamilya shows: such as a housemate doing tasks in “Pinoy Big Brother” Breakout under Kuya’s guidance, and a contestant beating the time at “Minute To Win It”: The Experience to become the Last Man Standing.

More delight awaits visitors at the “The Voice” Open Mic. Find out who among the virtual coaches—Bamboo, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Sharon Cuneta—will turn as blind auditionees sing their hearts out.

Star Lab visitors will take the spotlight as they dabble in singing duets and perform dramatic scenes with Kapamilya artists, throw punchlines with the cast of “Goin’ Bulilit,” and take the hot seat in “Tonight With Boy Abunda’s” Fast Talk.

Others can try behind-the-scenes Studio XP challenges, such as the role of a TV crew member in “It’s Showtime” Director’s Booth where they get to orchestrate a variety show, with all the excitement, tension, and drama of live production.

Guests will also enjoy the intimate 80-seater Kapamilya Theater where they get to watch 4D movies, live shows, and other events, or compete in a multiplayer game with “Misyon: Ang Probinsyano” (a patintero-based game) or the “Ang Propesiya: La Luna Sangre” (an agawan base game). They can also watch the country’s first and only 4D production—“ASAP 4D”— an exclusive offering of the Kapamilya Theater.

During random times, Kapamilyas may also receive a surprise, live video call from an ABS-CBN star through the Celebrity Calling booth.

The Fantasy Studio, meanwhile, provides more thrilling attractions for the adventure-seeker, such as the Action Academy, an obstacle course offering stunt trainees a chance to compete in speed and strength ala Cardo Dalisay or Darna.

The ARX—an augmented reality game—allows group of participants to beat out virtual monsters together in an exciting match, while guests 12 years old and below will enjoy the expansive Superheroes Playground, along with other select Studio XP attractions.

Visitors of the sprawling, 1,400 sqm-studio city are all welcomed at the Walk of Fame leading to the Heritage Hall where they get to see vintage memorabilia and broadcasting equipment, including the Millennium Transmitter, one of the network’s most recognized symbol.

Keepsakes are abundant inside as aside from the #Starsnaps photo booth, where guests can have pictures with their favorite celebs, and the Star Catcher, a claw machine containing autographed items from Kapamilya stars, they can also avail of unique finds at the Retail Studio featuring the hottest ABS-CBN Store merchandise.

To cap the whole Kapamilya experience, visitors should gobble on the new Heroes Burger offerings. The organic burger joint has Pinoy Komiks-themed food products, featuring the well-loved characters of Darna, Captain Barbell, and Lastikman.

Guests can enjoy Studio XP at affordable rates, with XPass Prime tickets priced at P375 for first-timers and at P350 for returning guests with access to all attractions except #Starsnaps and Star Catcher. There is also the XPass Lite option at P300 for first-timers and at P275 for returning visitors which excludes access to the Kapamilya Theater, #Starsnaps and Star Catcher. Be prepared to spend about two and a half hours in a shift to take full advantage of the fun inside.

Visit the new ABS-CBN Studio Experience, located at the 4F of Ayala Malls TriNoma. Follow the ABS-CBN Studio Experience on Facebook, Instagram (@abscbnstudioxp) or visit studioexperience.abs-cbn.com to check the shift schedule and avail tickets online.

Maging reality show contestant, action star, atbp. sa bagong studio city ng ABS-CBN!

ABS-CBN Studio Experience magbubukas na sa Sept. 16

Controversial movie’s twist set to delight first time viewers

BEA, PAULO, AND DEREK’S “KASAL” PREMIERES ON KBO

“Kasal,” one of this year’s most controversial movies starring Bea Alonzo, Paulo Avelino, and Derek Ramsey, is back, this time on television via KBO this weekend.

It follows the story of Lia, a simple lass who is about the to marry the “Prince of Cebu” and the mayoral candidate, Philip (Paulo). Their so called fairytale love story becomes complicated when Lia’s past lover, Wado (Derek) accidentally becomes the vital person to help Philip secure his win in the elections.

A plot twist, one that boldly explores gender themes, in “Kasal”’s story of a love triangle will give first time viewers what one critic hailed as an entertaining surprise.

“Once you settle in to watch this film, you only expect to see the ex coming in to throw a wrench into what seemed to be a dream wedding. However, this film directed by Ruel S. Bayani (who previously helmed hits like “No Other Woman” and “One More Try”) threw in a most unexpected wrench into his narrative to twist the whole “typical” love triangle story into a most unexpected, but devilishly entertaining surprise. Especially if you’ve haven’t seen the trailer, you’d never expect how far left-field this story would go,” wrote Fred Hawson in his review of the movie on news.abs-cbn.com.

The film went on to become a box office success earning P100 million after its run.

Don’t miss “Kasal” this weekend with Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman’s “That Thing Called Tadhana,” Bret Jackson and Ella Cruz’s “Dark Room,” Yassi Pressman and Sam Milby’s “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel,” and Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador’s “My Fairy Tail Love Story,”

“Hwayugi: A Korean Odyssey,” bannered by Lee Seung Gi and Oh Yeon-So, is down to its finale week on the first and true home of Asianovelas in the Philippines, ABS-CBN.

The modern Korean take on the Chinese literature classic “Journey to the West” pits Lee Seung Gi’s Son Oh-gong against the love of his life Yumi, played by Yeon-So, in numerous trials.

The last week promises to be full of action, twists, and turns, as Oh-gong and Yumi face the possibility of sacrificing their love for each other. The bracelet on Oh-gong’s wrist remains to be the key in averting the crisis with the Black Dragon spirit, but may make him fall out of love with Yumi once he takes it off, as they are destined to battle each other.

What happens now that Oh-gong knows he is also destined to end the life of the love of his life? Are there preparations enough to beat the Black Dragon’s spirit? Will he choose duty over love or will he follow what his heart is yearning for in Yumi?

Will they save the world but at the same time lose each other?
