“TV PATROL,” “FPJ’s ANG PROBINSYANO” MOST WATCHED ENTERTAINMENT AND NEWS PROGRAMS IN APRIL

More Filipinos relied on ABS-CBN for news and entertainment as “TV Patrol” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” secured spots on the list of the most watched programs in April.

This is based on data from Kantar Media, which showed that nine out of the top ten most watched programs in the country were produced by ABS-CBN. The Kapamilya network also garnered an average audience share of 43% among urban and rural homes in April, or nine points higher versus GMA’s 34%.

ABS-CBN primetime series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” kept its reign for the whole month as it garnered an average national TV rating of 37.7%. Filipinos still grip on to the story of Cardo (Coco Martin) that not only provides action-packed scenes every night, but also promotes values and crime awareness to viewers.

Meanwhile, more viewers tuned in to “TV Patrol” as it recorded an average national TV rating of 29.1%, compared to its rival program “24 Oras” that only got 18.6%. With Noli De Castro, Ted Failon, and Bernadette Sembrano as anchors, “TV Patrol” continues to provide timely and relevant news to viewers to be in the service of the Filipino.

Also part of the list is “The Voice Teens,” which got 35.5%, as it returned to showcase the talents and fulfill the dreams of young Filipinos. Viewers also tuned in to the cute transformations of Kapamilya child stars in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” that got 34.5%, while the magical and values-laden stories of “Wansapanataym” captivated viewers, hitting 32.6%.

The inspiring stories of letter senders in “MMK” also continued to touch viewers’ hearts, as it recorded an average national TV rating of 31.8%.

Current affairs program “Rated K” was also a hit among viewers, recording an average national TV rating of 20.5%.

Also entering the top 10 were the family-oriented series “My Dear Heart” (26.5%) and “Home Sweetie Home” 23.3%. The story of Heart (Heart Ramos) continues to inspire viewers as she fights her illness while changing the life of Dra. Margaret (Coney Reyes) along the way. The married couple Romeo (John Lloyd Cruz) and Julie (Toni Gonzaga), meanwhile, continue to show the strength of their relationship and love for each other despite life’s challenges.

Meanwhile, “Pusong Ligaw” instantly captivated viewers with its story about love, friendship, and achieving one’s dreams, as it scored an average national TV rating of 17.9%. The recently concluded “The Greatest Love,” which showed the undying love of mothers for their children, scored 14.4%.

ABS-CBN also won across all time blocks nationwide, particularly in primetime (6PM-12MN), hitting an average audience share of 49%, beating GMA’s 33%. The primetime block is the most important part of the day when most Filipinos watch TV and advertisers put a larger chunk of their investment in to reach more consumers effectively.

ABS-CBN also drew more viewers in the morning block (6AM-12NN), with an average audience share of 34%, compared to GMA’s 33%; in the noontime block (12NN-3PM) with 42% versus GMA’s 36%; and afternoon block (3PM-6PM) with 43% while GMA only got 35%.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN also reigned in other parts of the country. In Total Balance Luzon, the Kapmilya network registered an average national audience share of 44% versus GMA’s 36%; in Total Luzon where it recorded 39%, compared to GMA’s 36%; in Total Visayas with 51%, beating GMA’s 28%; and in Total Mindanao with 52% versus GMA’s 29%.

“TV PATROL” AT “FPJ’s ANG PROBINSYANO” PINAKAPINANOOD NA NEWS AT ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMS NOONG ABRIL 

Nanguna ang ABS-CBN sa larangan ng pagbabalita at paghahatid ng saya at aliw sa mga manonood matapos manguna ng “TV Patrol” at “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” sa listahan ng mga pinakapinanood na programa noong Abril.

Base sa datos ng Kantar Media, siyam na Kapamilya programs ang pasok sa top ten na pinakapinanood na programa noong nakaraang buwan. Nakakuha rin ang Kapamilya network ng average audience share na 43% mula sa urban at rural homes, kumpara sa GMA na mayroon lamang 34%.

Buong buwan pa ring namayagpag ang “FPJ’s Ang Probisnyano” matapos nitong makapagtala ng average national TV rating na 37.7%. Patuloy na sinusubaybayan ang kuwento ni Cardo (Coco Martin) hindi lang dahil sa askyong dala nito tuwing gabi, kung hindi pati na rin aral na ibinabahagi nito sa mga manonood.

Ang “TV Patrol” naman ang pangunahing source ng balita ng mga manonood na nagkamit ng average national TV rating na 29.1%, kumpara sa katapat nitong “24 Oras” na nakakuha lang ng 18.6%. Gabi-gabing pa ring tinututukan ng mas maraming manonood ang mga impormasyong hatid ng “TV Patrol” na patuloy na naghahatid serbisyo sa sambayanang Pilipino sa pangunguna nina Noli De Castro, Ted Failon, at Bernadette Sembrano.

Kasama rin sa listahan ang “The Voice Teens” na nagrehistro naman ng 35.5% sa pagbabalik nito upang ibida ang boses ng kabataang Pinoy. Hindi rin naman pinalampas ang mga nakatutuwang talento ng Kapamilya child stars sa pag-perform at panggagaya ng mga sikat na artists sa “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” na nakapagtala ng 34.5%, at ang mga kuwentong kinapupulutan ng aral sa “Wansapanataym” na nakakuha ng 32.6%.

Kinaantigan naman ang mga tunay na karanasan ng letter senders sa “MMK” (31.8%) na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa mga manonood.

Tinangkilik naman sa larangan ng current affairs ang “Rated K” na nakakuha naman ng average national TV rating na 20.5%.

Pasok din sa top 10 ang mga pampamilyang kuwento ng “My Dear Heart” (26.5%) at “Home Sweetie Home” (23.3%). Patuloy na tinututukan ng mga manonood si Heart (Heart Ramos) sa paglaban sa kanyang sakit at sa pagtulong kay Dra. Margaret (Coney Reyes) na baguhin ang puso nito. Sabay naman dito ang pagsubaybay ng mga manonood sa samahan ng mag-asawang sina Romeo (John Lloyd Cruz) at Julie (Toni Gonzaga) na nagsisilbing magandang halimbawa sa pamilyang Pilipino.

Samantala, sinubaybayan din ang pag-uumpisa ng kuwento ng pag-abot ng pangarap, pag-ibig, at pagkakaibigan sa “Pusong Ligaw,” matapos nitong makapagtala ng average national TV rating na 17.9%. Makabagbag-damdamin naman ang naging pagtatapos ng afternoon series na “The Greatest Love,” na nagpakita ng wagas na pagmamahal ng ina para sa anak at nagkamit ng 14.4%.

Namayagpag din sa buong bansa ang ABS-CBN sa lahat ng time blocks, partikular na sa primetime (6PM – 12MN), kung saan nakapagtala ito ng average audience share na 49%, at tinalo ang 33% ng GMA. Ang primetime block ang pinakaimportanteng parte ng araw kung kailan karamihan sa mga Pilipino ay nanonood ng telebisyon at inilalagay ng advertisers ang malaking parte ng kanilang investment upang makaabot sa mas maraming consumers.

Sinubaybayan din ang ABS-CBN sa morning block (6AM-12NN) sa pagtala nito ng average audience share na 34% kumpara sa GMA na may 33%, sa noontime block (12NN-3PM) sa pagrehistro nito ng 42% laban sa 36% ng GMA, at sa afternoon block (3PM-6PM) sa pagkamit nito ng 43% laban sa 35% ng GMA.

Samantala, ang ABS-CBN din ang naghari sa iba pang lugar sa bansa. Sa Total Balance Luzon, nagtala ang Kapamilya network ng average national audience share na 44% kumpara sa GMA na may 36%; sa Total Luzon sa pagrehistro nito ng 39% kumpara sa GMA na may 36%; sa Total Visayas na may 51% kumpara sa 28% ng GMA; at Total Mindanao na may 52% laban sa 29% ng GMA.
